The child from Ambasamudram Heart camp, Ethiksha..., underwent successful procedure (BPV) and discharged 17th Feb. This child was detected at the Heart camp and needed the procedure on an urgent basis. The parents are very very Happy and thanked the Rotary Club.

On Feb 8th 2025, Virudhunagar and Ambasamudram East Clubs, in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, Kochi, organized a free heart checkup camp for kids in Ambasamudram. 92 children and their families attended, and the program yielded impressive results, including one child who received complimentary surgery. Approximately 35 Rotarians and doctors participated in the event.

A life skills training program was conducted on behalf of our association at the Mukoodal Chokkalal Higher Secondary School alumni meet. The total beneficiaries were 57. As a Alumini of the school Rtn Presdient of the club, Mr. Navamani prepared this, which was aimed to equip the participants with essential skills that would enhance their personal and professional development. Over the course of the day, various workshops were held, focusing on areas such as communication, time management, financial literacy, and problem-solving techniques. Our trainers, who are experienced professionals in their respective fields along with Rtn. Navamani, and Rtn. Siva Subramanian, facilitated engaging sessions that encouraged active participation among the alumni. Many expressed their enthusiasm for the practical exercises and real-life scenarios that were presented, which made the learning experience both enjoyable and applicable. Feedback collected from the participants indicated a positive reception of the training content, with numerous attendees noting that the skills learned would be invaluable in their current careers and future endeavors. The sense of camaraderie among the alumni further enriched the discussions, allowing for the exchange of ideas and networking opportunities. President Navamani expressed his heartfelt wishes to the children, emphasizing the importance of sharing love and kindness during the festive season. There are 30 people in the home. 4 club members attended. The meal was prepared with care, reflecting the spirit of service that our club embodies. The children were allowed to choose their own dress from Chennai Silks, Tirunelveli, with participation from teachers and two Rotarians.This thoughtful initiative aimed to bring joy and festivity to the lives of these deserving children, ensuring they could celebrate the Diwali festival in style. The program was held under the leadership of Veeravanallur Muslim Jamaat President Adam Ilyas in the presence of Town Panchayat President Chitra and Vice President Vasantha Chandra. Nellai District Jamaat Ulama President Sheikh Meeran Aalim welcomed the gathering and spoke. Veeravanallur RC Shareholder G. Arogyaraj and Veeranallur Police Inspector Gauthaman provided educational scholarships and clothes to about 41 students. Ambasamudram Rotary East President and Advocate Navamani attended as a special guest and delivered a special speech at the event. Tenkasi District Muslim Women's Aid Association Honorary Secretary Mohammed Salim INDU C National General Secretary Amir Khan K. M. S. Khadhar Meeran delivered the felicitation speech. R Chandrasekhar, took efforts along with the Reader’s forum Treasurer Periyar Piththan to repair the Government Library building and put a fence around the building along with Alpha Foundation and Rotary Club of Ambasamudram East. The Reader’s Forum, driven by the passion to revitalize the community hub, organized several fundraising events that brought in generous donations from well-wishers. The involvement of the Rotary Club of Ambasamudram East further strengthened the initiative, as their members actively participated in both fundraising and hands-on repairs. Under the guidance of Rtn. IPP P Adam Eliyas, the team worked diligently to patch up the roof, repaint the walls, and reinforce the foundation. Each contribution, be it monetary or physical labor, was cherished and recognized during a small ceremony held at the library. Rtn. R Chandrasekhar expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors, emphasizing how the restored library would serve as an invaluable resource for education and community engagement. As the final touches were put on the building, a vibrant new fence was erected around the premises, symbolizing not only protection but also a renewed commitment to the importance of literacy and learning. The atmosphere was filled with optimism as community members gathered to celebrate the transformation of the library, which stood as a testament to collective efforts and dedication. The Rotary Club of Ambasamudram East organized a tree plantation program at Sokkalal School, Mukkudal, encouraging students to plant trees on campus while raising awareness about the importance of trees. A total of 20 trees were planted, with participation from 50 NSS students and 5 teachers. 100 tree saplings were distributed to the children and public. The program was led by President Navamani and Rtn. Navamani, with contributions from Rotarians SivaSubramanian, ChandraSekar R and Kumar Sundaram.

Inaugurated by our President S. Navamani, and organised by Rtn Sivasubramanian, Mr.Selvan from National Disaster Force, Headmaster Lawrence inaugurated the Rally. 1220 students and 31 teachers participated. Thaiveedu Thondu Niruvanam arranged everything.The rally commenced with a vibrant procession led by the students, waving colorful banners and chanting slogans that echoed the themes of the day. The excitement was palpable as the children marched through the streets, drawing the attention of the local community. Various sessions followed, where speakers highlighted the significance of each topic.

Students eagerly participated in a mini tree-planting activity, each planting a sapling that they promised to nurture.The day concluded with a pledge taken by all participants, vowing to advocate for their rights and protect their environment. Thaiveedu Thondu Niruvanam was instrumental in providing educational materials and refreshments for all attendees, ensuring that the day was not only informative but also enjoyable. Together, we took a significant step towards fostering a brighter future for our children and the community.

On the occassion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Daniel from Ambasamudram East Club sponsored the lunch for Mentaly retarted people. 35 People from the Home and 4 Rotarians in addition to Dr. Daniel participated in the event. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as the guests gathered for the special lunch. The dining area was decorated with colorful balloons and banners showcasing messages of inclusion and support. Each participant was greeted with warm smiles, creating an environment of acceptance and camaraderie. As the lunch was served, Dr. Daniel took a moment to address everyone, expressing his gratitude for their presence and emphasizing the importance of celebrating diversity. He shared inspiring stories of resilience from individuals within the home, igniting a sense of pride among the participants. The meal was not just about food; it was about fellowship. The Rotarians mingled with the guests, engaging in lively conversations and games that brought everyone closer together.
