Kid underwent successful procedure (BPV)

The child from Ambasamudram Heart camp, Ethiksha..., underwent successful procedure (BPV) and discharged 17th Feb. This child was detected at the Heart camp and needed the procedure on an urgent basis. The parents are very very Happy and thanked the Rotary Club.

Cyber Crime Awarness Program

Our Club's President Rtn. S. Navamani conducted a Cyber Crime awareness program at Virudhunagar Club. The program aimed to enlighten the local community on the increasing prevalence of cyber threats and the necessary precautions that can be taken to safeguard personal information. President Navamani emphasized the importance of staying informed about online scams, phishing attacks, and data privacy issues that have become more common in the digital age.

Free heart checkup camp for kids

On Feb 8th 2025, Virudhunagar and Ambasamudram East Clubs, in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, Kochi, organized a free heart checkup camp for kids in Ambasamudram. 92 children and their families attended, and the program yielded impressive results, including one child who received complimentary surgery. Approximately 35 Rotarians and doctors participated in the event.

Provided drinking water and 3000 Litres of water bottles

During the Veeravanallur Maragathambigai Bhoominatha Swamy Temple Car procession, Our Rtn Suresh provided drinking water and 3000 Litres of water bottles to the general public from his Rayar Foundation, in collaboration with the Ambasamudram East Rotary Club. Members of the club like, PAG Esakki Saravanan,Saravanan, Chandrasekar participated, and 3500 people benefited.

Distribution of Diwali outfits and Crackers

Conducted Awarness Program on Mobile usage for school children

The Rotary Club of Ambasamudram East held an awareness program on mobile phone usage and cyber crimes, titled "Cyber Hygiene", at Sokkalal School in Mukkudal. Led by President Navamani, the program included Rotarians Sivasubramanian, Kumar, and Ganapathy Raman. Navamani educated 30 students and teachers, including Sivasubramanian and Maniraj, on cyber crimes and safe mobile usage during a 2-hour interactive session.

Seminar for parents of special children with Muscular Dystrophy

Jeevan Foundation & Ambasamudram East club held the seminar for parents of special children with Muscular Dystrophy Viravanallur. Former President Rtn P. Adam Eliyas presided the event and lit the candle. Manager Narayanan welcomed everyone. Dr. Daniel explained the participants about club's donations & their benefits. Dr. Rajesh coached the participants who received certificates issued by Rotarians Adam Eliyas,Chandrasekhar & Muthukumar.5 doctors,15 medical students & 45 parents attended the event.

Eye and Medical camp at Alwarkurichi Paramakalyani Hospital

An Eye and medical camp was held at Alwarkurichi Paramakalyani Hospital on behalf of the Ambasamudram East Rotary club President Rtn. Navamani inaugurated the camp. Doctors S.Premarani, R.Syamala, and N. Manoj provided consultations in the camp. 5 members of Ambasamudram East Rotary club participated as volunteers. 128 beneficiaries participated in the camp and benefited.Beneficiaries who participated in the camp were given free medicines worth ₹20000 at ₹150 each.

Donation to Public Library, Viravanallur

Nellai District Veeravanallur Tamil Nadu Government Public Library building was very dilapidated. Readers Forum President Rtn. IPP P Adam Eliyas and Rtn. R Chandrasekhar, took efforts along with the Reader’s forum Treasurer Periyar Piththan to repair the Government Library building and put a fence around the building along with Alpha Foundation and Rotary Club of Ambasamudram East. Organized a tree plantation program at Sokkalal School, Mukkudal

The Rotary Club of Ambasamudram East organized a tree plantation program at Sokkalal School, Mukkudal, encouraging students to plant trees on campus while raising awareness about the importance of trees. A total of 20 trees were planted, with participation from 50 NSS students and 5 teachers. 100 tree saplings were distributed to the children and public. The program was led by President Navamani and Rtn. Navamani, with contributions from Rotarians SivaSubramanian, ChandraSekar R and Kumar Sundaram.

Awarness Rally and Awarness Program for school children

Held an awareness rally and program for school children at Sokkalal Higher Secondary School, Mukkudal addressing child labor, child marriage, drug avoidance, environmental awareness, plastic reduction, and tree planting. Inaugurated by our President S. Navamani, and organised by Rtn Sivasubramanian, Mr.Selvan from National Disaster Force, Headmaster Lawrence inaugurated the Rally. 1220 students and 31 teachers participated. Thaiveedu Thondu Niruvanam arranged everything.The rally commenced with a vibrant procession led by the students, waving colorful banners and chanting slogans that echoed the themes of the day. The excitement was palpable as the children marched through the streets, drawing the attention of the local community. Various sessions followed, where speakers highlighted the significance of each topic.
